Most used cars look fine on the surface. The expensive problems tend to be underneath, inside the engine bay or stored in the car’s computers.
The comprehensive inspection gives you the fullest picture we can provide on site. It’s the right choice for higher-mileage cars, cars without full service history, or any purchase where a mistake would be costly.
What's covered
Each area is checked, photographed where relevant and summarised in your report.
Leaks, noises, mounts, belts, hoses, fluid condition and how the engine idles, revs and shifts.
Stored and pending fault codes from the control modules our tool can access.
Paint thickness readings across the panels, panel gaps and signs of accident repair or respray.
Tread depth and wear patterns, brake condition, and suspension noises or leaks.
Vent temperatures and cooling performance, checked with the engine running.
Screens, cameras, sensors, windows, locks, lights and dashboard warnings.
Moisture, corrosion, silt and staining in hidden areas that can point to water exposure.
A visual check for structural damage, corrosion and leaks, as far as access allows.
Acceleration, gear changes, steering, braking and noises on the road, with the seller’s permission.
Computer diagnostics
Modern cars store fault codes when something goes wrong, sometimes before any warning light appears. We explain relevant codes in plain English and whether they’re likely to be minor or significant.
Coverage varies by make, model and year. If a module can’t be read, we note it in the report.

Not always. For newer, low-mileage cars the Essential package is often enough. Tell us the car’s details and we’ll recommend a package.
Yes, when the seller gives permission and there’s a safe route nearby. If a road test isn’t possible, we note that clearly in the report.
We give repair priorities and indicate which issues are likely to be minor or significant. Exact costs depend on parts and the workshop, so we recommend getting quotes for major items.
