The terms on which SKM Car Inspection provides inspections and this website. Last updated 22 September 2026.
These terms apply when you book an inspection with SKM Car Inspection (“SKM”, “we”, “us”) or use carinspection.ae. Please read them before booking. If anything is unclear, ask us first.
SKM carries out a non-invasive, visual, functional and diagnostic inspection of a vehicle at the location where it is parked, and provides a written report of what was found at the time of the inspection.
The inspection does not involve dismantling the vehicle, removing trim or panels, lifting the car on a ramp, or any procedure that could damage it or that the owner has not agreed to.
A booking is confirmed only when we have agreed the vehicle, the location, the date and the price with you in writing, including by WhatsApp or email. Requests submitted through this website are enquiries until we confirm them.
You are responsible for giving us accurate details about the vehicle and its location. If the vehicle is materially different from what was described, we may need to adjust the scope or the price, and we will tell you before proceeding.
We can only inspect a vehicle with the permission of whoever is responsible for it. If you ask us to contact the seller, you confirm that you have their agreement for us to do so.
If the vehicle is not available, not accessible, or permission is withdrawn when our technician arrives, we may charge for the visit. We will always tell you the position before any charge is applied.
A road test takes place only where the seller gives permission and it is safe and legal to drive the vehicle. If no road test is carried out, we say so clearly in the report.
The report records the condition of the vehicle as observed at one point in time, using the tools available and the access the location allowed. It is our professional opinion, given honestly and independently.
The report is not a warranty, a guarantee, or a prediction of future reliability. It does not certify roadworthiness, and it is not a valuation or a statement of legal title, finance status or insurance history.
Some faults are intermittent, hidden behind trim or panels, or only appear under conditions that cannot be reproduced during an inspection. Diagnostic access varies by make, model and year; where a system cannot be read or checked, we state that in the report.
The decision to buy a vehicle, to negotiate, or to walk away is yours. We provide information to help you decide; we do not advise you to buy or not to buy, and we are not party to any transaction between you and the seller.
Prices are agreed before the inspection. Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking. Additional travel or waiting time, where applicable, is confirmed with you in advance.
Tell us as early as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made before our technician travels to the vehicle are not charged. Once the technician is on the way or on site, we may charge for the visit.
We carry out inspections with reasonable skill and care. Where we are found to be liable for a loss caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the inspection in question, except where the law does not allow that limit.
We are not liable for the condition of the vehicle itself, for the seller’s conduct, or for losses arising from a decision you make after reading the report.
If you believe something in a report is wrong, contact us promptly and we will look into it.
The report is prepared for you, for the vehicle and the date stated on it. You may share it with the seller, a bank or an adviser. It should not be presented as applying to any other vehicle, or relied on by someone else as if it were prepared for them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
